Do I have to obey a Texas subpeona even though I am a Louisiana residnece and I was in Louisiana when I was served?

yes, by law if you have been served with a subpoena then it is legal in the State you were served in even if not the State that issued it. You need to respond to it. You can be found in contempt. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Reply to 4ren6's Post: I know subpeonas are true but it was a Texas subpeona that a lady had given me-not a deputy-but just a lady that works part time and i was in louisiana at the time she gave it to me..Is is still legit because i need a couple opinions on it because I already asked a lawyer and it is legit because I am a louisiana residence and i was served in louisiana?

case in point (or an example) would be say child custody. One parent lives in one state and the other parent filing with the courts lives in another. The subpoena would be valid.
