A friend of mine is incarcerated and has two kids. Her mom takes care of them but wants to split them up into foster care... I do not want this and would like to gain the right to care for them. Now do I have to have a set income become even thinking about trying to have them live with me? Or will government checks be sent to help them? I do not want to see these girls separated and know it will be no problem with their mom or grandmother to have them... I just need to know what my steps would be... thank you
