My divorce papers statet hat I have to share in the obligation of a chptr 13 bankruptcy, but my exhusband stop making payments on it without notifying me of doing such. The bankruptcy court discharged the bankruptcy, I have filed a chptr 7 since then. Would I be in trouble with the courts regarding the 13 if it does not exist? What should I do?

Greetings:

If the chapter 13 bankruptcy matter has been discharged, it appears that you are no longer obligated. You should obtain a copy of the dismissal by notifying the court clerk, as the court will send a copy to the address you provide them.

Any such information you have listed on the Chapter 7 bankruptcy matter that pertains to Chapter 13, you only need to submit a copy of the dismissal once received.

I hope this helped. If you wish for further information, or, IF YOU FEEL I DID NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, please let me know, so that I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Bright Blessings.
