Does child support have to paid if your child stays the summers with you

Hello,

Child support is due regardless of where the child stays unless there is a stipulation in the order stating otherwise. Since child support is calculated based on a yearly order and broken up over each month it will not change the order if the child is gone for a few months. Also the mother is still required to provide for the child such as continue to pay for the rent, utilities clothing etc.
